A Newport tradition, the Victorian Christmas Feast is an interactive evening of fine
food, beautiful costumes, song and Christmas cheer. This year the theme of the evening
will be the timeless classic A Christmas Carol.
The year is 1891, and George Griswold hates Christmas.
"Bah humbug" to the singing, the dancing, the laughter, the joy - what makes the
Yuletide so gay? While George's family sings carols together he locks himself in
his office with his ledgers and investment reports.
His sister worries that George will never marry and produce an heir! His father,
estranged from George’s mother, worries that if George does marry, that George end
up alone anyway.
